My latest job was working at Durham ES, as a Career Pathways Master Mentor, DL Teacher, and ABL coach. With over 25 years of experience. I have had the opportunity to work, as an educator, in multiple countries and applied multiple teaching methods. I worked in Mexico for the American School Foundation, as well as, for the American Institute of Monterrey, St. Joseph’s Early childhood education as a Montessori teacher in Halifax, NS, and volunteered as a Montessori teacher in Thailand, I also worked for ALIEF ISD as a 4th grade and kindergarten bilingual teacher, Math Interventionist for all grade levels, and kinder and 2nd Grade Dual-Language teacher.Â
During that time I collaborated with two other members of the Dual Language program to restructure the District’s Literacy Pacing Guides for Dual-Language. I also worked for HISD as a bilingual teacher, team leader, Sunshine & SEL committee, PTA liaison, IB & Dual-Language committee member, Campus Technology Administrator, TECH support for staff, students, and parents, Career Pathways Bilingual Literacy Specialist, and Career Pathways Technolgy Specialist for Durham Elementary, where I had the opportunity to work with multiple programs such as R36O, Ellevetion, IXL, iStation, Neardpod, peardeck, ITs learning, and many others, at the same time acting as a coach offering professional developments where students, staff, and community participate and learn how to manage the new face-to-face and virtual implementations.
I consider myself a team player, a hard-working, experienced, leader, and an innovative, creative person who enjoys working with people.
